You can spray some oil down each cylinder, they make special oil for it, mostly for marine use. It would really depend on how long it will be stored and if you ever start it while it's stored. Mine will sit all winter but I'm going to start it once a month or so and I won't fog the engine. If I was storing it for a year plus or more than 6 months without starting it I would fog the engine.
 
For my Michigan winter the last 3 years I just put her in the garage, and started her every week, moved the car slightly back and forth, and if it wasn't too bad out I would go up and down the block before putting her back away again. Thats what worked for me. But my car was in an insulated garage.
 
Good article. Many people forget to place a vapor barrier under the vehicle, not realizing vapor will come up through the concrete. This is especially harmful when people use tarps. They create little humid bubbles that look nice and dry outside, while rusting and tarnishing below. Water absorbing pellets or cakes are good to leave inside to remove any humidity left over when you close up the car. Don't forget to coat your weather striping to prevent rot. Good luck. i wouldnt even bother i parked my old dart for over a year outside in massachusetts with no cover on it, half a tank of gas, one day, put a jump box on it, pumped it a few times, it fired right up. if you are parking it under a cover for a michigan winter just fill the tank and park it. start it every now and then you'll be fine.
