Help!!!

I would suggest a rebuild from a reputable place (SE Michigan has to be crawling with them) but with the additional windings/brushes you'll lose precious ponies. :D

Out of curiosity what battery did you stick in there?

Meh, nothing super special. I think it was a Super Start medium level battery. My dad bought it for me so can't complain about that... Eventually I'll get a good one when I put in a aftermarket stereo system.

Here it is: http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/d...=Search_C0423_1432279_3431&pt=C0423&ppt=C0005

675 cranking amps. 25 more than the factory battery

how much was it? im getting $112ish here.

I recently paid $120 installed for a motorcraft one, with 750 cold cranking amps and with the same warranty i believe

It was $115, so about the same. Sounds like you made out pretty well. We just ran up to the local Oreilly Auto and thats what they had so meh

Just to throw in my 2 cents as well..... In my gen I v8 I went through 4 NAPA alternators before getting an OEM. Reman Motorcraft was all that was avilable at that time, but that alternator was trouble free.
