I have to replace the coil for cylinder #2. Which side is it on?

Sometimes the code gives the wrong cylinder. I had to read the misfire counts on all the cylinders, and the bad coil was on the one with the next highest count. Also, I recommend changing the plugs while you are there.

Most of those reading this will know that I've now replaced all my coils with Accel components originally designed for a SOHC 4.6. They work just fine. FWIW, although I found oil in several wells, it had not gotten as far as the coil body in any case. The boot was messy, but not the coil itself. Since the well is composite next to the boot, I believe the oil to be a 'red herring'.
