help please
my 02 v8 ls blew the 4th coil pack and needed an new valve cover gasket in the first couple of months having it than about a year later it was the
1st coil pack and then 5 months later its the 8th and the other valve gasket and they said somthing else about water gettin in somehow
i dont understand y this keeps happening and the first 2 were under warrenty but not this time so itll cost me a little less than a grand to fix

the guy at the dealership said that the other gasket that went was a different one that there were 2 ive personally never heard this but im not a mechanic

i dont understand y this problem keeps reoccuring

does anyone have any input on this matter i would greatly appreciate it

being a v8, it has two valve covers... therefore two valve cover gaskets... and there are four coils per valve cover, and from what I understand you'll have coils continue to go until that valve cover gasket is fixed... and the lincoln dealer also told me that the coil go due to moisture not due to valve cover gaskets going bad. however a month later, after warranty was up I noticed the taletell smell of oil burning from the valve cover springin a leak...

+1 on what Foz stated. Plus these things can just die on the count of becasue.

If you have some basic tools and a little spare time you can do this yourself for less than 600 bux. Plus you can your spark plugs replaced at the same time.

where exactly are the spark plugs i did the work yesterday but didnt see ne plugs
