I need this part as it seems to be leaking oil and may be the problem with my P1409 code. It's an '02 V6,

Thanks

Doesn;t look like EGR to me though. Looks more like PCV hose.

Try posting this in the vendor area, specifically the Five Star Ford forum... I bet Max can tell you what it is and how much it will cost you...

The oil leaking has nothing to do with the EGR which is the problem according to that code. That hose most likely is part of the PCV system and hooks up right past the throttle body. Not sure where the EGR is located on the V6, sorry.

5 looks like the EGR tube. It's either something to do with 1 or 5, although 1 looks like the EVR filter.

I hope it helps. I was just guessing by the code and that pic.

That's exacly what it is. Looks like nobody else ever got this code. It came right after i did the vcg, plugs and coils. Car runs great know except for the code:mad:

I would start with #1 and #4 in the one linked. Look for those under the hood and check to see if anything is knocked off.

pcv hose

Hi Tony

I can get one of those tubes in a day and ship Monday. P/N XW4Z-6758-BA listing 23.13 and cost you 17.35 plus shipping.

The EGR vacuum control solenoid is out in the back side of the passenger side head, and that differential pressure sensor is toward the dirver's side of the engine at the rear. You have at least 2 electrical connectors and a vacuum hose that goes from the solenoid to the EGR valve that are all removed for the coil replacement job on a V6. Unfortunately, these are kind of a pain to get to when it is all put back together.

Thanks guys, I got my fat fingers to finally put it on. I reset using battery disconncet. My wife is gonna take the car to work since it's a 30 min drive.

Worst case, if the CEL comes back on with the same code, would there be any real damage if i left it? Thanks

BTW, is that EGR control solenoid supposed to spin freeley?
