help i need to know how to remove a fuel pump on a ls 2000 v6

Remove the rear seat bottom cushion - there's two white clips sticking out the front below the seat. Push them in and the cushion pops right out.
You have to remove the retaining ring carefully. Most folks use a drift or flat punch and a hammer on the ridges to turn it.
Unfortunately, I can't remember if it's on the left or right side.... I'm pretty sure it's the right.

It is on the right side of the car. Be careful removing the fuel lines, they are quite brittle.

wear leather gloves if possible when twisting the ring for removal...

There are sharp edges around the inside of the fuel tank access.
