Ok, so I've been trying tonight and today to get the end links off. I can get the nut to move but it's moving the entire bolt. I've tried gripping it from the other side but because of the oil that's inside of the end of the link I can't get it to grip. Any suggestions?

'End links' of what? If you are intending to replace the sway bar links, use a 'whizzer' wheel. All done in about a minute and a half!:D

Im thinking this isn't it. I dont see any whizzing wheel.:shifty:

My brain is in revers. I been working nights which I hate and now I have off for a week, Im just counting down the hours till I go gamble in AC:p

The whizzing wheel:D

j/k!

What are you gripping it with TDUB? A vice grip?

i thought its basically like a ball joint??? just take nut off. am i crazy??? if you are replacing them cut off wheels work great

Yeah I would've borrowed my girlfriend's dad's dremel had I known it was going to be this big of a pain in the ass. I got the top bolt cut off on one of them now I'm working on the bottom, I'm about half way cut into it with the hack saw.

the only way to work with those things is to cut em off.... Ive tried I dont even know how many different things to get them off...... pretty mucch left with cutting em. They arent that bad on the wallet to replace.

oh and good luck! from the sounds of the tools you have, your gonna need it! LOL Here's to driving the biggest pain in the ass car I've seen to work on!

Yeah.... I've been working on it since my last post and still haven't gotten the damn thing completely off. I got the bar off since but the ball joint isn't cut off the car yet.

Um.... didn't anyone think to advise Tdub about the hex holding feature?? I believe it's a 7mm or 8mm box wrench on the end to hold it and use a wrench to remove the nut..

After hacking at it for awhile I finally got it to the point where I could hold it with the vice grips and got it off. Now I'm debating on whether or not I should wait until I have a dremel to mess with the other side.
