ok I got my new 94 mark home last monday and it was covered in salt(everywhere)so I took her to work and washed her real good and I looked underneath her and she was covered in salt,so I started washing my undercaridge and I was spraying the under the front of the car with some nice hot water up around the passengers side air bag, anyway I sprayed(not alot of pressure)in the area of the air bag and I sprayed something that made the car go down on both sides and then I started the car and she went back up,but now when I start the car she goes down and sometimes goes right back up again or sometimes I have to restart the car to get her back up and sometimes when I am driving her shes goes down again and I have to restart her up to get the bags aired up again, what did I do short out a sensor or relay all the parts looks good when I was checking it out,so what do I change out first cause I don't have a leaking problem the car has been up for a few days now and I never had a promblem till I washed her in the airbag, relay sensor area:(

I just went out to start the car and she went right down when I started her and left her running and in about 2 minutes she came back up,,WTF:confused: why is this car going down when I start it??

hmmm air ride

I am wondering if you knocked off or loose your hight sensors? I would check to make sure they are hooked up and that your selinoides are plugged in and not leaking

or he knocked the solenoid loose from the sealed position, high pressure water could make that happen.

only real way is for him to get under there and tell us what is out of place compared to the other side of the car.

Well does it bring up a air ride control light?? I would run a computer test on it, most old eec 4 scaners can run diagnostics you just have to follow procedures, not sure if it can be done with a jumper wire trick, I've always had a scanner. I have repaired and replaced parts out the wazuu, but going spring is the only way, and it is just one less thing to worry about going wrong with these awesome cars.

check air ride does come up

yes the check air ride control light does come on should I just have my friend at the shop scan my system and see what code comes up?

That would be a better start than asking people on a forum.

so would sticking you head under there and taking a peek, using so
me common sense and basic compartive skills he could rule out any obvious issue, like the one i mentioned above.

STRONGER hint to the OP.

my suggestion above was intended to spark your motivation to get out from in front of the pc ans actually go look at the car, rather than countering my suggestion with yet another question.

do some due diligence before asking more questions

guys take it easy on me,I have stuck my head under there duh,but did not see anything out of place and I thought thats what this site is about helping others with less knowledge.

There should be a sensor connected by a ball stud to your upper control arm. If it is unhooked it will cause ride height issues. If your bags are leaking down after a couple hours or so then they have developed leaks which typically propagate around the folds of the bags. Cold weather usually forces the gremlins to surface. Warm soapy water may help to identify if this is occuring, don't forget to also check the top of the bag where it bolts into the inner fender. If you find it leaking then you should go to American Air Suspension for new components, they also have a trouble shooting section also.

well, you neglected to mention your head injury, so we'll take it easy on you.

this site is for the sharing of knowledge and experience, but it isnt a babyfeeding station.

did your friend ever run the suspension test with his scanner?
