Hello all just mainly a post on my car situation. Er, Lincoln situation

It actually is very sad, i believe these cars are worth more than they are listed online.

Yup... as long as they have been maintaned... and not driven into the ground.

Biggest problem seems to be that the average driver doesn't want to take the time to do the maintenace required.

Then when there are problems... the car is "junk" to them.

That's how the LS got an unfair "bad rap".

Edit: The above comments are not directed at anyone on this forum. Most that come here are willing to learn because they appreciate the uniqueness of the vehicle.

Our son, Gabriel, (and I, since his Escort died while I was driving it) paid $750 for our manual equipped LS. I get as much of our parts as I can from Salvage yards, including window regulators. And it is sad because a lot of these cars are in better physical condition than the one I'm getting the parts for (even more so for the Escorts). I follow car values and have noticed these trends; common cars like Chevys and Fords bottom out between ages 15 & 20 years and luxury cars just keep losing value until it is "discovered' as a great classic by people with pockets deep enough to recreate the parts (that we are looking for now) needed for a full restoration. Then, the value shoots up. This time line is unpredictable, it could happen after 30 years or maybe not for 80. The best thing we can do for the value of our LS's is keep singing their praises where ever we can and keep this website alive. Gabriel wanted this car because it had a manual and thought it had future collector value. By the way, I have a pair of 2cd gen (8 pin connector) LS front window regulators from a garage kept car with under 60,000 miles on it, 1st $100.00 gets them.
