Heater on 'limp mode'

The heater is on limp mode. I pulled the fuse and restarted several times and didn't reset. Do I have to disconnect the battery to reset or is there more involved? No matter what I do it just runs on defroster. Fan control works but only defroster. Still looking for problems. Glove box area looks good. Would like to reset it before tearing into dash area. Thanks.

its the supply vac from the eng, the hvac sys is designed to switch to defrost when no vac is applied so it least you can see if you needed to, start the eng and listen for a vac leak, not sure if your gen 1 or 2, gen 1's (except 96) have the feed running off of the top of the intake manifold towards the pass fender, follow that line and you should find the leak, as for gen 2 i dunno where the supply is from hmmmmmmmmm well if you got a gen 2 ill go out and check mine
