Not asking for advice this time, but am posting a possible thing to check. My passenger seat started failing intermittently last week. I pulled information off this board, and found the things to check, and I have one to add - the filters may not be dirty, but the screen on the inside of the filter may be stretched out a bit. When I pulled the filter out I noticed that parts of the screen was shinier than the rest. As it turns out, when the seat was turned on it was drawing the screen into the fan, stopping it, which would then shut the seat off. I used some paper clips to pull the screen back and brace it off the screen, and now the seat works again. I waited a couple of days to make sure this was the fix before posting up. Shiny spots on the inside of the filter screen can now be called a cause of a seat failure.
I would have just installed new ones instead of doing the paper clip trick, but nobody in the area has them available. O Reilly's can order Motorcraft part number FS-100.
Hope this helps.
