Ok guys, I have my headliner out, I manualy move the gear and the click click click is in the gear, I cant see anything or anyway to fix it. There is 2 copper lines runing aroud assume its for the heat so sunroof doesnt freeze?

Gosh any help anyone could give?? Is there a plastic gear? how do I get it out to replace? Web link for what it should be like, anything?

Ok here is were I set now. I have removed all the screws around the opening, and slid the whole sunroof assembly out of the car, I got it on my table and dont see how I can change the gear it has 4 copper lines coming out of it, the stripped part is inside of the gear I can not seem to get the gear out of the track? to see why it misses.

man not to be a jackass but you have 3 threads about the same topic in one morning. Just make one and ask multiple questions.

Its pretty easy to get out also, take off the motor, then there are 2 screws above that. crank the roof open manually or just pull it open remove the dozen or so screws around the opening and it slides right out. Probaby do the yard a favor taking the motor out for them and the glass on the roof both good ebay items lol

ive had moon roof glass listed on ebay many times and i have a box full of motors in my garage they dont bring anything on ebay!

How many different types of sunroofs did lincoln use? the track I need has a male spline under the motor.

That looks like a aftermarket sunroof.
I had my 98 apart and it has stainless steel lines. Inside there are worm drives(maybe wrong name)
If you can move it by hand and there is any binding at all it will slip with the motor.
When my motor was disconected there was a clicking sound from maybe a relay? Does the motor work when taken off the moon roof?
My frame was bad some one bent it some how.

I am pretty sure its stock as the switch is between my map light, Yes the motor works fine, I can manualy turn the gear on the frame with no glass and feel the slip or miss of the worm gear, I think the (what ever drives the worm gear) is stipped. I need a new frame Please help someone :)
