My lights are crap, and I've been on google for the past 2 hours and can't find anything about restoring my lights except this :

"Remove lens by cutting with a dremel type tool. Re chrome housing using trimbrite chromebrite tape. (available online, or from most Advance Auto parts stores) Re seal lens with Goop Automotive sealant. (its a strong silicon type sealant, available at almost all auto and DIY stores)

Ebay has cheap HID kits. (less than 100 bux)

Anyway, that is it 'in a nutshell' Do a web search for more info - its all out there, somewhere!"

Does anyone have a write up on how to do this? If I'm gonna do this I'm going to get a crappy pair from the junkyard and experiment so I know what I'm doing first. I also need the steps on how to "re-chrome the housing using trimbit chromebrite tape" and where I can find these things. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. And if this works out I'll be getting a 6000k HID kit from DDM tuning.thanks
 
Also, anyone who has ordered from DDM, and got a hid kit for non-hid lights, is this correct?

Jamie is the best at restoring the lights. I tried it. The key is patience!! The trim brite is a bit of a pain the butt to work with. Mine didn't look pretty but when it was reassembled you couldn't see the flaws. I also removed the diffuser. It is super bright. Being that you live in SI, I wouldn't remove the diffuser. You would probably get pulled over constantly. My Son used to go to St. Johns University and was always getting hassled by the cops.
 
But what do you do exactly with the trim brite? Is the diffuser used to keep the brightness down? I'm not sure if i'll remove it or not, I'm going to get pulled over a lot anyway, clean lookin car with tints, instant reason for a cop to get me over here lol, that's all they do. Yeah they really do hassle people over here, no joke.
 
yes. PM me your phone number and I will send pics of what it looked like while I was doing it. I can go outside and take pics of what the lights look like without the diffuser.
 
Meguiars PlastX and some 2000 and 3000 grit. Elbow grease and patience. Well, if your lenses are fogged up that is.
 
I just did my 2nd set of headlights for my 95 with the tape. Cutting the lens off is much easier with these new vibrating saws. Nice straight edge, and much quicker than a dremel tool. I removed the difusser on the first set, and I could see the trees, houses,and everything but the road. The second set lights up the road. I made patterns for all the tape pieces. Too many angles, and the tape does'nt bend two ways. I glued the lens on with Locktite PLASTIC epoxy. Then sealed them with Locktite MARINE epoxy. I up graded to a little brighter bulb, and all is bright. I do have a new HID kit, all plug in for a 95, and a set of lights, redone, no difusser, that I'm willing to part with.I'm in CT.
