You can't. But you can easily "dye" them (it's never a dye..but a coating) the LS interior color yourself, like I (and others) have.

#1. Go to ebay and purchase a set of grey headrests with the TV monitors.

#2. Clean the headrests well with a rag of soapy water and greasecutting dishwashing liquid, such as dawn.

#3. Wipe headrests well with damp cloth until all soapy residue is gone.

#4. Let dry fully.

#5. Wipe headrests down thoroughly with rubbing alcohol. (ensures all silicone/greasy chemicals are gone).

#6. Treat the headrests with adhesion promoter..to properly prep the surface. This can be found at local auto body supply stores.

#7. Apply the dye, also found at local auto body supply stores. SEM is the top brand, and graphite is the color that is extremely close match to the 2000-2002 LS light grey interior.

If you have the DARK grey, Im not sure of the exact SEM color for your interior. But a visit to your local auto body supply store should handle that.
 
Myron Davis makes replacement headrest that have monitors in them and come in factory matched leather, they dont look the best but they usally match good. i belive Epic also makes them. best option would be to have monitors put in the headrest that you have.
 
True..I forgot about the Myron Davis option. But..if I recall, they run close to 1k a set..vs about $250 or so a set on ebay. I've had an ebay set for 3 years now, and the pic quality is fine. Basic LCD. If you have the smaller 2000-2002 model year headrests, adding monitors to those will be a slight challenge unless you are using pretty small monitors. Been there, done that. If you have the 2003+ larger headrests, you have more options. also..one drawback to the ebay headrests? You pretty much lose the usefulness of them as head"rests". They fit and look fine, but there is more distance between the back of your head and the front of the headrests no matter how far you can tilt them/angle them. I've gotten used to it now, but still can be annoying.
 
Why not just have them installed with yours?
 
I had them installed on my stock headrests in my first LS. The install itself wasn't that great (too large of monitors) and also, due to the first generation headrest design, the monitors were angled ever so slightly upwards. So, for my youngest to not have that LCD angled washout, I always had to lean my seatback far back for her to enjoy the pic. Not very comfy for me on long drives. Again...just my experience.
 
i didn't want to buy those headrest because they were far from matching the oem color...so i bought 2 7" lcd screens {120$} and got them cut into my headrests and hooked up for 90$...looks factory, everyone that rides in my back seat ask me if they came with the car. but my flip down monitor is a differnt story, it has to be put in a little better, its falling in the front.
 
slabls. Any pics? I'd love to see how those 7 inchers fit into the headrests, especially if you have a 2000-2002 LS

I guess when you have the seats back that far it weights out as far as that slight angle goes:p .

You will put a brace (a piece of wood or a bracket that come with the screen) in between the headliner and privacy slider.
 
It is more difficult to put them in cars with a moonroof/sunroof but it can be done. A huge factor is the size of the screen and how heavy it is. Because the headliner is cut for the sunroof it has a little less support and could possibly sag if you put a large screen there.
 
if you put a piece of wood above the headliner, what happens to it when you get in a wreck? that should only be done if the board is secured to the car somehow other than the headliner holding the heavy a$$ screen and a piece of wood.
 
Here's a pic of my project from a couple years back. They work even better since I added the Avic-D3, which displays the videos/movies from the connected Ipod onto the Avic..and the headrest monitors. As you can see, the color match using the SEM graphite was pretty much dead on.

+1, and LSE you have made my mind up for me, i will be doing the color-matching soon. i remember you had told me a while back about it but i was skeptical because i thought the color of your interior was different than mine. from the pics you posted i can see we have the same interior. i still have to deal with the fact that my headrests are not hooked back up though, lol. i still hate freakin' thieves :mad:

thats why you should always check out a lot of work from any shop, its always worth a little extra to make sure that the job is done right the first time. and if they f it up then its their a$$ that is buying you new headrest.
 
Thanks guys. Those are the basic chinese-made headrests from ebay. If you notice, the "frame" surrounding the actual LCD is carbon fiber design. (its actually plastic of course). I found out later that they also make them with woodgrain surround which would have been a better match to the LS's woodgrain interior, actually. Oh well..live and learn. But admittedly, they still work well. All pixels still work, etc. I forget the size of the screens? I think 7 inch. they also come in a 9 inch, but to me, that was a bit much. I'm getting slightly more conservative in my old age. lol
