Just a thought to other observers. Porting is one of those things that work better as output levels go up. I would not make the effort to do porting if I was going to be satisfied with a cold air pipe and a Magnaflow cat-back. 20-and-a-little-bit HP is certainly worth having, but it's much easier to put one size larger jets in your spray than to remove the top of your engine in order to start work with rotary files and tootsie rolls.
As many of you know, I am (slowly) getting closer to assembling and installing a fresh engine that has internal parts designed to take the load from a pair of turbos and an elevated shot of methanol and nitrous oxide. Therefore, I am going to do all the other things that will help efficiency and that are relatively easy to do with a motor spread around on the benches and engine stand in the garage.
It's going to be fun!!
