Head gasket? I'm leaking! (many pics and a vid)

Got the pump and it looks like I'll be able to do this with no problem, JUST TO MAKE SURE....the water pump is behind the pulley right under the alt. right? because its spewing antifreeze from there

Dot strip the bolts !;)

Whatever happened with the striped starter bolt ?
I am guessing you installed or had a new one installed.

My mechanic dropped the exhaust and cut a chunk of the starter out.

I got the 4 bolts for the pulley off with no problem, but im stumped now, why wont it slide right out? Don't tell me that middle round bolt needs to come out? I've heard people had to hit the pump itself to get it out, but do I need to take a rubber mallet to this pulley? I assumed it was just those 4 bolts that needed to come out but maybe I'm wrong?

Yep give it a rap with your rubber mallet.

This pulley isn't coming out, I'm just gonna take my friend Louis to it, Louis Ville that is

Should pop out with a little prying. Four small pulley bolts then the bigger four on the pump itself. I think I used a small pry bar at the upper right to get it started.

yeah I just smashed it about 100 times with my louisville and it cracked and then popped off. Now I'm just getting enough strength back to smash out the pump itself. I'm surprised it didn't just fall out after all the smashing on the pulley itself. I made sure I removed the bolt on the right on the bottom, so we'll see in a few if I can smash it out.

Well it did, and I got the old pump out and the new pump in, pulley on, ready to go except for getting the belt back on, thats going to suck. I got the belt off by just sliding it off because of all the wd 40 I had on it, but there's no way I can slide it over the pulley to get it back on. I read somewhere that the tensioner had to come off to get the belt off in the first place, so idk I'll figure it out in a few, I've developed the worst migraine doing this.

LOL I'm sorry but how did the belt get wd 40 on it ???
The tensioner has a square hole in it that fits a 1/2 ratchet so you can take the tension off to slide the belt on.

The belt had wd-40 on it from the bolts that held the pulley on.

Pump replaced, belt cleaned and "dressed", car running!

I'm doing the burp and refill, and idiot me broke the petcock bolt but it still holds the coolant in the radiator so I didn't mind it.

The oil light came on a few times on the way home, shes parked for the night so we'll see tomorrow.

Thanks for the help everyone!

I didn't think so, lol. Happened when I pulled into the driveway and turned the wheel straight and locked it. It's too dark tonight so we'll see in the a.m. I ended up having to use the bottom of my baseball bat to hook into the part of the pulley and use the crossover to pry it out, that was tough

Update, no more oil light today. The car is running toward the 'O' now whereas before it would never go over the 'M' but thats because I added too much coolant I think, everything else is fine.

"O" is a bit too high. Normally these things run around the M or lower.

Yep, oil light came back, car overheated, had to have AAA tow it to my mechanic, I'm assuming its just a thermostat, but what the hell while he has it i'll have him replace the fuel filter from hell as well

There are coolant hoses under the intake

For conversations sake here is a pic of the hose.

That pic is in an ebay auction, so it wont work/last forever..
