well i have been on the hunt for the LS specific roof rack for quite sometime. found exact part number even found the basket ford used to sell but the actual rack itself is non existent at this point. and i notice a fellow lvc'r purchased a universal one. that got me thinking. has anyone tried fitting a yakima rack to the ls. just a base one? i looked over my LS and came to the conclusion that the only reason no one has made a rack for the LS is the fact that the door/roof line is almost vertical. so i did even more research and came to the the information that the ford offered roof rack had to be screwed into the car. so now. why hasnt someone tried to simply make there own q clips or mounts to attach the Yakima feet to the LS roof? or has this been tried and not possible? someone please enlighten me.
