Has anyone used SeaFoam on their cars???

I cannot WAIT until Transformers comes out! Some of the FX look a little cheesy in the previews, but the movie looks awesome as hell anyway!
Back to the Seafoam and fuel injector cleaner comment... Seafoam IS fuel injector cleaner. Its also intake manifold cleaner and crankcase flush all in one can. :p

Back to the movies... Who else is eager to see Pirates of the Caribbean 3?

Seafoam has multiple products, one being a gas-additive fuel injector cleaner. The one I purchased is the Seafoam Deep Creep(you add it to the vacuum lines, its a spray petro). This product can be used with the Seafoam motor treatment(the fuel injector cleaner, you can also add this to your engine oil for cleaning + water dispersement).

1. Run engine to normal operating temperature.
2. Shut engine off and disconnect air intake boot.
3. Spray DEEP CREEP into throat with throttle plate open. Saturate and soak. Clean with a soft toothbrush or cloth if necessary.
4. Spray into throat with straw attached to finalize cleaning.
5. Reconnect air intake boot and drive.
6. Make sure exhaust is well ventilated as fumes may be extreme for a short time.
7. Safe for teflon coatings, lubricates bushings.

Ok, thanks... but...what about the kind that you just dump in, it says you can do it with that to but how?

I went out and got the kind that you pour in and it didnt seem to do anything. I was kinda depressed cause I did it right at Auto Zone and was waiting for the smoke to piss everyone off......but it didnt smoke!

YOu have to use a vacum line that goes into the plenum intake manifold. On most cars you can simply use the brake booster vacum line. I just used the vacum line that connects to the intake tube and it goes to teh plenum. It worked for me but like i said my Ls didn't smoke too much compared to previous cars i have done this too. It smoked up my neighborhood for about a good three minutes. So i guess that's a good thing i didn't have too much carbon build up in my engine. Also while i do this i clean out the intake throttle body, spray some cleaner up in there and use a toothbrush and scrub all that gunk outta there. And if the throttle cable needs tightened i do that too, that'll make the response better if it is loose for any reason. Im not claiming these miracle results from using this stuff, i just know that it works. And afterward generally i can notice way better response in the engine and a better idle.

Thanks, so I suppose I just hook up a funnel to it and pour it on down then I turn on the car? I clean out the throttle body here and there with a very soft bottle brush and stuff.

You know what I'm Gunna do with this stuff to test its capabilities? My wife has a 98 wrangler that she treats like sh!t, never gets the fuel filter changed, never gets the oil changed, uses the cheapest gas and so on and so on. We live by the beach so the salty air don't help, I think the Exhaust has some Major issues to cause of this, its like rusted to hell. We have been having this problem with it starting lately, I posted something up on one of the boards here about it. You "sometimes" need to keep the pedal floored for a few moments or it will just stall right away.

I think I'm gunna record it some how. This thing will probably deplete the Ozone layer instantly.

Then we can find out how good this stuff works!

haha sounds like my buddies explorer, but you put it thru the brake booster with a valve when its running. then you turn it off when ur done filling it(not the whole can), then let it sit for 5 minutes and run it until its done smoking.

Oh BTW... When I used it in the gas tank my MPG went from 15.9-18.7 or something like that. Now I have been having all kinds of trouble with my mileage and nothing worked, I averaged at a full tank around a total of 235 till empty, after the sea foam it went up to 338 till empty.

I have used everything you can use out there from that Chevron stuff to Xentex and others like the Xentex, I had my filter changed more than once, the first time it helped but only for a few days then it went back to what was the norm for me, very poor MPG's. I had the treatment and flush at the dealership and still no help. But this stuff had seemed to help so far. I guess Ill just have to see what it does over the next few days.

But I still need help with that brake booster...LOL..LOL

The brake booster is the big drum behind the master cylinder. :p

I haven't heard of the Deep Creep stuff. How well does that work? Might try that next time instead.

Yeah the brake booster is by the front driver's side on the firewall, next to where you fill it up will brake fluid. But i had trouble gettin to it on the LS, on other car's it's real simple. As far as the LS i just used the vaccum line that connects to the Intake tube. I can't really explain it that good but its that big vaccum line just before the maf so it's not real hard to miss. Just start her up loosen that line and just put the line into the can turn it upside down and it'll suck up all of the seafoam. Then kill it let her sit for a while then start her up and then you'll see all of that carbon come pouring out. Just depends on how dirty the engine is. Hell i know it'll make a big improvement on your wife's explorer considering how dirty you said it is. And that one should be easy to locate the brake booster. just locate it and loosen up the vaccum line that goes from there to the intake plenum and there you have it. Goodluck and tell me your results im curious in how much of an improvement you get outta using this stuff.

The brake booster has a hose that connects the intake(vacuum). They just use the brake booster as an example because of its placement.

Thanks, I found out where to do this with the LS but the JEEP is a bit harder.

I'm gunna try it on the JEEP one way or another Ill figure out how to put it into its vacuum line and then smoke out the complex, and probably the entire state of Delaware.

I might not get to it for a day or two but I will record it and post it if its as funny as you guys say it is.

I've been using this stuff in my cars since my first car. I heard about it from a friend of mine, he refered this stuff to me and i always use it for every car that i buy. Anyways if you get a can and use a vaccum line that leads to your intake plenum. Suck it all in there or maybe half of it, you can use the remainder in your gas tank or your crankcase. It will clean your fuel filters, injectors and fuel lines, or in the crankcase free up lifters, cams, just clean up all of that carbon buildup inside the engine. As the car sucks up the liquid and you put a desired amount in you shut off the car. Let it sit in there for a couple of minutes, then start up the car. Now your car might hesitate and try to stall so you are goin to have to rev it up a little bit. Don't freak out because you'll notice that your car is smoking alot, depending on how dirty your car is will affect how much smoke gets out. My old maxima smoked just poured out, you can just drive it off. The smoke will end in about five minutes or so. Afterwards, you'll notice better response in your car. It always has worked for me and my cars always run better in result of using seafoam. I was just wondering if anyone else has heard about Seafoam and have they used it?

RX-7 guys swear by it to store their vehicle for the winter. Although I never used it on mine, I still had no problems.

yeah this stuff sure does work, and if your ride has a lot of carbon build up you'll be like spy hunter with a smoke screen goin down the highway, hey can anyone hook me up with a rear passenger door, please i need on bad, thanx and i hope that seafoam works for all of you
