Has anyone done thisd before...haven't seen a thread....

I don't know about the gen2, but the gen1 wud trim pieces on the door are riveted in place. All it is is melted plastic though. You can dremel it down.
 
Looks okay. the thing I would have issues is the wood grain on my steering wheel

ummm... in college i did a minor in english, then went on to do an MD. i'm an orthopedic surgeon. so f- you on the the grammar (learn how to spell); i think i own your flabby gut on that.

based on your post, you likely did half of the school i did; at best.
