Had Magnaflows installed today

Had the Magnaflows(#11225) installed today by a reputable shop and while I was there also had them remove the resonators sounded really nice had a nice rumble but more cabin noise with the windows up then I would have wanted but I could have lived with it..Once I hit the highway and floored it... WOW the amount of flatulence from the exhaust was horrible after letting off the gas sounded like an exhaust leak but it wasn't,so I returned back to the shop and was informed that it was due to low back pressure and the abrupt angle on the h pipe..Not sure how true this is but it sounds fairly accurate/logical...

So back in went the resonators..Sounds good a noticable difference from the stock mufflers,the sound is more noticable at lower rpms/cruising speeds..All said $180 for mufflers and resonators removed and another $50 to have the resonators reinstalled leaving the exhaust alone after this..Next mod will be the K&N typhoon intake..

I coulda told you about removing the resonators. If you are going to do that, get an x pipe.

I have the same setup you have right now, and am very satisfied. Refined, and just enough growl to sound like a v8.

Wohoo glad everyone is doing the exhaust install as I will be doing this prob next weekend and glad ppl are posting their experience. As it helps thanks guys !

He did mention the X-pipe would smooth the exhaust flow out,but for him to make one would have made the install pricey compared to just buying the X pipe from Magnaflow.. Might try again in the future but no time soon.

I've put more than 40K miles on the Magnaflow cat-back in my '02. I believe it's slightly louder than when new, but still excellent. No Flatulence. Just a nice quiet purr that wakes up when you put your foot in it. The KKM I got from Ken at LSK is frosting on the cake!
