Hey any of you have any ideas on what I can use to remove the chrome on my grill? Its starting to flake in some parts and I just want to clean it off and spray it chrome.

Sandpaper.

That said, I've never seen any stuff with that Chrome paint ever come out looking nice. Give it a shot, but you may discover it sucks, in which case start talking to Jamie or Max about a replacement grille.

True but I think I might give it a try one weekend. By the way who is Jamie and Max? I might talk to them about a replacement to save me the pain of doing it.

Painted Mine Black

Last carshow of the season last year was a good one so I wanted to be ready. I pulled my bumper cover off to get to my Grill. I was working on it in the dark and it took about three hours to pull it off sand it with 320 and 400 grit, wipe it down, paint it duplicolor black, clearcoat it, and reassemble it. It changed the look of the front end, but my car is Opalescent white, it really looks good. Steve 96 LSC

Cool... I should stop on by on the way home from work one day. Thanks!

Yeah, I have a brother in Tempe, and next time I am out I will be stopping by to meet Max myself. Maybe bring the guy a beer or something (if I can find out what he drinks).

s39, that is one SHARP looking car. I like it.

I just let my buddy do mine. LOL. I am lazy. He does them for about $150 to $175 depending on paint and how bad the grill

if you have a soda blaster its the way to go. It'll take off whats flaking and not eat the plastic.
