so yesterday for my birthday my girlfriend decided to by me a flowmaster exhaust for my ls. i have wanted an exhaust for a very very long time but have never been able to get one because we just had a baby and have to spend our money a little more wisely. but anyway so i got it put on yesterday and was happy as can be. that night when we got home i pulled in the garage and when to roll my window up and POP!, Window doesnt move. everyone that owns a ls knows what that means. what a way to ruin such a good day

Ah man you can't look at it like that. Getting an exhaust outweighs a bad window motor. Check some junkyards.

yea that is true. the exhaust is awesome. quick question, i had the shop keep my resonators on because i didnt want it too loud, but after driving around for a bit it let me wanting more. so how much louder will it be if i take those out? what do you guys recomend

A lot louder I'm guessing but I've never had any custom work done on the exhaust.

Alright well i guess i will just leave it as is. I dont want to do ot amd then regret it later. Now i just need to get a new regulator. Sucks

My girlfriends dad gets parts for cheaper from our local ford and i paid 60 bucks for the regulator and a friend can put it in for 30 bucks. Not to bad in my opinion. Especially considering the last time this happened i bought from ford myself amd had them put it in and got ripped for about 250

Good deal, I paid over 400 to have mine fixed.

FYI...flowmasters are the quitest aftermarket exhaust system I've ever ran across......if you want louder...I can let you know ;-)

Dude...just put it on yourself, it's really easy. I did it a couple days ago, and it took me no more than an hour.

My birthday is coming up on Friday and I'm still thinking of what to tell my girlfriend to get me (definitely something for my car). Thinking of having her pay to get my springs installed or have her split the AVIC-F90bt with me. We shall see

I was gonna do springs as well but im too worried that it would rub. My wheels are 20 inch with +40 offset. And as far as putting the regulator in myself i have little patience for stuff like that and i usually try rushing and thats not the way to work on a car.
heres a story, i had a 2000 grand am before this car and bought a cold air intake for it. When i went to install it my positve terminal for the battery poked out a little too far because it also had the power cord for my amp so the aluminum tube wouldnt set properly. So instead of going to a auto parts store to find a bolt with a little less profile i just took a hammer and pounded a big dent into the intake. Haha kind of kills the whole free flowing part of buying a intake huh. So thats why i try not to mess with more time consuming car projects anymore.

The 2002-2006 l/f regulator w/o motor is a 4W4Z-5423209-aa listing for $84.54 and LVC is $50.72 plus shipping.
If I know the year car I can be more exact for you.

Intake for my LS took 5-10minutes to install :P

Patience is a virtue. And installing a cai should NEVER be considered a time consuming car project.
