got these new rims.. they aren't fitting ;\

HEY I JUST GOT THESE NEW RIMS THEY ARE 5 LUG/UNIVERSAL.. BUT THEY STIL ARENT FITTING ON MY CAR I WAS WONDERING IF THEIR IS SOME TYPE OF ADAPTER OR SOMETHING TO GET THESE ON MY CAR.. I PAID 700 I CAN ALWAYS SELL THEM BUT I REALLY WANT THESE TO FIT! i hope someone can point me in a direction!!!! thanks!

Do you know what's the offset on the wheels? If it's really high, like 60, then you can get an adapter which wouldn't be very safe with heavy wheels like these.

Other thing, maybe you could have some shop redrill the holes, but I am not too sure about that.

If I were you, I would sell em if it was possible and get the right wheels.
 
There is no such thing as a "universal" wheel. Did you even bother to check the bolt pattern or offset on the wheel before you bought them?

There's a LOT of wheels that are identical save for the bolt pattern, so just because you see the same wheels on a Lincoln, don't assume the wheels YOU have will fit on it.
 
Sell them and next time do some research before blindly buying a new set of wheels.

You need 5x108 with at least a +45 offset.

Not true it doesnt need to be a +45 offset at least 42 is fine
 
I thought the LS had a special feature to simply refuse wheels that ugly.


[EDIT] Oh, I retract that statement after checking the LvC Photo Gallery.

well someone might see what you put and pass on a pair of rims anything over 40 and you should be fine. So by me saying 40 thats ok if someone would get 37 cause its anly 3 off no they will rub so it does matter. Just sayin so people know what works.
 
grrr...

yeah i went t0 this umm tires place and they said they have "adapters" but it would make the rim stick out about a inch and a half.. i dont think that would be very safe.. i should sale them that sucks its probably gonna take a while.. anyways i called them the next day and they said they dont have the adapter for my car so i definatly got to sell them now GRR
 
make sure you find out which vehicles it will fit onto so you can target that market and please do not try to sell to another LS owner. i'm sure you can some good money for them, maybe not what you paid but close if they are in good condition
