It's only 3 days to go.I can't wait to see what she does with the nitrous(I think mid to high 12's) I will let you use my Drag radials or if you still gonna have traction problems I will give you my slicks:) .We gonna have few videos on sunday Blown mark VIII vs nitrous Mark VIII :D .Anyways see you in 3 days at us 41 dragway.

Hell Yeah is RIGHT:D .. i'm going to start with a 75 shot and see how brave i get.. Want me just to meet you guys at your place on sunday and we can roll up there together? couldn't talk Conrad's bitch ass into going.. haha. Hopefully Derrick is going to bring the Cobra. P.S. Tell no one that i have nitrous. Conrad better turn the boost up by about 15lbs. haha.

Its a secret for a few days. Give me a call this weekend, i pm'd you my number.. Can't Wait!!! i'm getting the Kit hooked up Friday

The timing will adjust by itself.

How do you figure the timing will adjust by itself? Just because the Mark VIII has knock sensors does not mean that you don't need to pull a few degrees of timing from the point you start spraying until redline. Knock sensors should only be used as a last ditch effort to keep the engine safe if all else has failed. Letting them retard spark for you rather than taking the spark out of the tune to begin with is not a good idea whatsoever. This is because for them to start pulling spark they have to be encountering some extra "noise" from the engine which means that you are knocking already. While the occasional knock here and there will not kill things too quickly, it sure as heck will if it happens that way all the time while spraying, especially on a stock engine.

I am betting the OP will average middle-low 13's on the 75 shot. If he runs the 100 then solid low 13's with possible scraping 12's. If he steps up to the 125 then there should be no reason he shouldn't hit solid 12's assuming traction is good. If you are running DR's or better then I see no reason why you won't be able to hook. It should be a fun weekend for you.

+1!!!

I would datalog the knock sensors to find out where it IS knocking then pull timing from those areas...then keep datalogging and adjusting until the Knock sensors no longer are "active" while on the spray.

I would not "depend" on the knock sensor to pull timing for me.

ILLS is dead nuts correct here.

I will be in Schaumburg tomorrow for hallowen party and I may give you call tomorrow. Also my friend is taking his 96 cobra(the mystic color one) and we should have nice weather too.
