Friend up the road collects and restores Lincolns.

his kid was just finishing up a car with compound and i showed him some spots on mine needing attention..

No problem and dint take him long and now car is ready for a good waxing.

To return the favor he needed a tree felled that was hanging over his hot tub.

no problem,,went home and got a saw.

tied off to the tree to pull it.

i cut,he pulled,,but not enough..

fell on a Mark 7 waiting for restoration !! LOL !!!

Services rendered hey Ron!, your work there is done. LOL

I would have figured moving anything that could get hit out of the way would have been step one?

and who the hell restores a VII?

You know what I do when I need to cut down a tree and have it fall in a certain direction? I tie a rope to it with tension on it in the direction I want it to fall and it falls in the general direction. If I need it to fall exactly with no deviation to one side or the other, I'll put a second and third rope with some slack on it tied off to either side of the main line. The extra ropes won't allow it to swing very far out of line.

Was tied off proper for a pull to the side,,propblem was guy doing the pulling slacked off !!

when tree started going down he pulled then stopped !! LOL !!

only some minor damage to the hood that needed work anyway.

the car hasnt been started in a long while and he didnt want to bother.

and who the hell restores a VII?

cheap ish air ride, $278 for all 4 bags, windsor platform, drop in a h/c/i 351 and a t5, sra 8.8, ABS, and its still a Lincoln. who wouldn't want to play with one?

playing with and restoring are a little different.

personally, I would rather lose the fat and have the same package in a notchback...
