After getting the exhaust done and everything, I'm getting horrible mileage, and tripped a cel today on the highway, pulled the codes when I got home and got...

511 No power to PCM pin 1 or bad PCM. (just pulled it and added the lms chip, so I'll pull it and reseat it later)
558 EGR Vacuum regulator solenoid/circuit failure (doing the exhaust they cut off both cats, and looking from under the lift I didn't see the egr tube, so I assume they blocked it off?)
582 Open cooling fan circuit.

I still can't fill the coolant through the crossover cap, so I pulled both hoses and filled it that way, hasn't overheated. The highest it goes is 'O' in traffic.

Looking from the hood, I don't think they replaced both 02s because they look old, but I'll talk to the shop about that sometime next week.

Any ideas?

the egr tube should be on the pass side exhaust manifold area.

That would explain the poor milage if its not hooked up, mine is off and i only get like 15mpg city:(

As far as the temp, that seems fine sounds like a fan problem not air in the cooling system from the sounds of it.

I dont know about the PCM problem. You may pull the chip and make sure you have it in good.

The PCM problem exists because you have a chip. it's just how the PCM/chip stratgey worlks.

If you remove the chip that code should go away.

It works like this because the chip dumps it's program into the same memory space as the trouble codes are held.

when you power on the PCM the chip tells the PCM it is "bad" (the code you got) then the PCM uses the limited operational strategy memory space which is now populated with the peformance tune information.

sounds confusing, but you dont have a bad PCM.
or...."shouldn't have".

Pull the chip, clear the codes and re-read.

Thanks Tommy, it explains one of the codes. 98, sure you don't mean drivers side for the egr tube?
