Got another Mark

well i just picked up another mark. 97 LSC. Owner tells me it has a blown head gasket. But still worth it. Basically I was going to charge him $250. To do some work on his car and he offered me the Mark in trade. so i will resurrect it.

Question

Why do I often hear about 2nd gen's blowing head gaskets? I never hear about it much with 1st gen's. is there a design difference? I'm curious because I have a 98 that's getting all of my goodies from my 95 when it finally craps out & I don't wanna have that problem if I can avoid it.

Well I put my spare compressor in her and she aired up. going to tomorrow with the truck and trailer to bring he home. and i have the Title in hand. the guy just gave it to me LOL. but i told him i will still fix his friends car. too me it is worth the finders fee for a free Mark
