Goofy electronics

I know this has been discussed before but I didn't know what to search for. My cruise control on my 01 V8 isn't working properly as are my stereo controls on the steering wheel. Buttons assigned to one task are doing things they aren't supposed to. How do I fix that?

Also- I'm looking for suggestions of how to remove all the winter grime and dirt and brake dust off my stock sport rims. I can't seem to find a good way to get it off. And one more- how do you get to change one of the license plate lightbulbs? Couldn't figure that out??

To change the license plate light on my 01 I used a small screwdriver to pop the light assembly out. There was an indent on mine where the screwdriver fit to remove it.
