Well, I have decided to take the Mark VIII out to the track next week, in Texas. Good 4 hours away I believe, and I will be driving her all the way down there. Mark is stock, so I am trying to get the best time I can, with her. What steps can I take, to ensure she runs the best she can? Even if it's something that's considered little.

Update- Found out the problem was a lash adjuster, replaced the new one, with a new one, problem solved. :D

You gonna run 91 or 93 octane?

91! :D I think the car likes it more better, that's just me though.

Glad it was the lash adj!

+2 Me too, me too! :D

I am thinking lower the tire psi to 25, to little? Have 1/8th tank of gas or less, and take out unnecessary weight.

Launching, I am not sure of. I like to flash it at idle with trac assist on, and o/d on and get off of it real quick to gain traction then get back on it.

To me, with trac assist off and o/d off, seems like the car just spins and takes to long to get up in speed.

Traction control off, learn to get car out of hole as fast as you can.LEARN
Also NEVER EVER race with OD on. DON'T do it. OD was never made to handle WOT beatings.
