going to test and tune

i how to brake of a 14.5 to 14.8... we will see. ill scan and post time slips here
 
i have exhaust.the intake, Xcal3 will be on for sure by the 10th. LSD might be in might not.

other then that i have the higher gear ratio (3.5X) and stock 16's. plus ill be taking the seats out again, that seemed to shave off 2 tenths.

Im a decent driver aswell. so if he ran a 14.368 i hope to run that atleast, dont see why i couldnt do better though either :)

The 3.58 vs. 3.31 will have a very small affect. I bet less than .1

The key will be getting the 60' down. You will need to be 2.150 or less to hit a 14.3. Less weight may help so maybe any 2.1 will get you there. Going to need to be cool too, don't race it cold, but you want it cooled.

It took quite a few laps for me to consistently hit 2.1s. Don't get bent if you can't do it. Track prep is important cause to much spinning and you won't have a chance.

I can hit 2.0s now.
 
I find it far easier to feather the throttle to get a decent short time with a car that's got an actual throttle cable as opposed to the TBW. Could be just me since any car I've ever taken down the 1320 had a throttle cable and I've only taken the LS down it 6 times. Could also be that the car had a stock tune then and wouldn't react quick enough, too.
 
1320? we run a 1321 lol jp


IDK I've never driven a TBW, but the more electronics and such the less you feel what the car is doing
 
I ran Robs 05 down the track a few times, not enough to run to good but I it did feel very different than mine. Think I ran a 14.43, not to bad for 2nd pass in it.

Very early on before fine tuning and only 2-3psi. As a matter a fact he just went cause he had the itch and wanted to see mine run on gears so he wasn't putting down what it can do. Track was jambed and track prep was terrible I couldn't stick at all. Don't think hes been back. I won't discuss times as it was just a early test and tune for him kinda but even with the light boost he had I think he was only a few mph of his spray #s

well was unable to go...on the way to the track got a flashing check engine light... 8 new coils are going on tomorrow...

15.7 was my best tonight.

in my defense i was totally un prepared lol, had everything in my car including spare tire.

Pretty odd though, i ran a 15.372 with a cheap ass PVC air intake, no seats, no spare, and basically stock exhaust.

Ill have a new intake on the 1st, makes me wonder whats up tho. car has more power i swear though! i ran 3 times tonigh. Ran a 15.8 cuz i couldnt turn the traction control off. 16.X cuz i spun like a mad man! and then 15.7 racing a 4.6L dohc mustang who ran a 15.0. Then i quit for the night.
 
Do you cool the car down?

Do you heat the tires up?

How do you launch it?

How do you shift it?

Were you spinning alot?

first gen? Those numbers arent bad for a basically stock first gen.

I want the chance to run a completely stock Gen1. I'm not about to return mine to stock just for putting down a 14.99. Anyone want to come to WI and give me there keys? I'm pretty confident I could do it or very close.
