I'm using my Rad'Shack tape adapter to listen to my Ipod in my 97.

This morning it got "confused" and tried to flip the tape, which doesn't spool backwards. Is there a button or anything to get it to flip back to the other side? The manal for this car is nowhere to be found, search came back with alot of unrelated stuff. :(

Thanks
Eric

I found this in about 5 minutes of googling.

From the page:

The alternate side of the tape can be selected by pressing the “SIDE 1-2” button.

Thanks for digging that up, I need to bookmark that.... but, what "Side 1-2" button? I looked for such a button, found a bunch of buttons, but not that one.

Ahhhhhh on page 50 of the manual; Pre-set 3 has a secondary function. Damnit.

And now you have an online copy of the owner manual for your car, complete with a search function. :D

I have the original hardcopy one for mine, picked it up on fleabay for a decent price.

Or you could learn to read... button says "SIDE 1-2"

Buttons without 100,000 miles of finger-touches do. Mine says Si__-2, I think the old ladies hand lotion strips paint.

Maybe I could touch that up with a fine brush... or say Fkit and get a head unit.

Ctrl-F definitely beats the hell out of a paper manual.

lol I still use the good ol' tape adapter to play my IPOD/phone..I'm just lazy and don't feel like buying a CD player..plus I like the stock look of the original radio..single DIN CD players in double DIN openings look retarded with that ugly plastic spacer..if I ever get a head unit it will be a touch screen navigation deck.

Why not get the better adapter with the cubbyhole instead of the plate

Thou touch screens are still the better option :)

I'll stick with the retarded look. I have lived here for all my life and don't need navigation to get me to the places I go. If I need navigation, my phone has me covered better than any double din unit would.

The double din unit will display the navigation from it onto the screen.

And with gps drive x and pioneer units you can actually control it from the screen on the double din.
