idk if this has happened to anyone, but the other day my glove box decided it was no longer going to gently lower down to the resting position. Instead, when i leaned over and opened it, it flew open past the stoppers and slammed down hard and emptied everything onto the floor. I have no idea what gently lowers the glove box instead of letting it slam down...and any help would be appreciated. BTW, 2000 Conti.

I thinks its a wire/string that lowers it. Max should be able to get you a replacement at a good price. Ill investigate further when i get to the store today.

okay, their is wire that controls the speed when opening. If yours dunped your stuff out your cord has broke or come undone. Its on the left outside of the glove box, hope this helps.
