I'm missing one of the rubber bumpers on the glove box door. This cause a rattle. So, I checked with the local parts dept. and no dice. I've got the (GCAT) printout and it's not shown/listed. Max did his very best to help, and Bill is having to call Ford.
Anyone have any information, a spare bumper or any creative ideas? I know it's a nit-picky little item, but would be great to find one.

rubber bumpers...rumber mumpers...bummer rumpers.... :D

Little rubber sticky 3M pads they put on the bottom of things so they don't scratch up hardwood furniture?

Usually on most LSs the glove compartment door kind of sits off of the line on the dash, so what I did was I took off those rubber things and adjusted the glove compartment door lock so the door will close tighter, so it won't move. Now, it sits on the line and is not moving at all, no rattles.

If your LS has that problem and you are missing one of the rubber things, you could do what I did.

Here are some pictures.

Before and after, not very clear in the first one, but it's an old picture and I wasn't planning on shooting the glovebox.

I found another picture of an LS with off the line glove compartment door. Not my car, this door sits even worse than mine did once.

Yae my thing is off the line also. I had no idea this was a common problem. Well at least I feel better now it is just not mine.

Do the way I did, it will sit just perfect. At least try, it's very easy.

Hadn't thought of removing the one bumper and "snugging" up the latch (obviously). Mine's at the dealership until tomorrow having 20K service, and other things done. I'll look over the situation when I get it back. I hope that will do the trick. Thanks for the tip!
