Glasspacks??

So I am thinking about replacing my resonators with Cherrybomb glasspacks to compliment the Flowmaster Delta 40's I have on it. The stock resonators are too big and quiet for my tastes but if I deleted them completely it would be to loud. So I guess my question is should I go with a 12" glasspack or an 18"? Has anyone tried this before? How does it sound?
 
As far as I know there is only one member here with glasspacks. Straights to GP's if I recall. If you have some sort of muffler on there it will sound a lot better, less bad noises I suppose.

As far as length, Shorter = Louder
 
I am leaning towards the 18" Cherrybombs. They are still quite a bit smaller Diameter wise than the stock resonators so should give me the sound that I'm looking for. I've searched on Youtube but didn't really fine anything. I guess I'll just experiment until I find the sound that I'm looking for.
 
Compliment? If you wanna compliment the Flowbastards just use a product from that company.
 
Actually I thought about that but I didn't want to spend that much money on Hushpower's when a 30.00 glasspack would do just as well for a resonator.

Not really, your talking a totally different note.
 
I put two cherry bomb glasspacks on in place of the stock mufflers on my Taurus. It took a quiet sounding V6 and made it sound like a small block V8. I was thinking about putting some on in place of the stock mufflers on my LS but I haven't gotten around to it. They will definately give your car a throaty exhaust note.
 
I have flows too.I dont think they make resonators. I just looked but couldn;t find any. I had to put the resonators back on on my ls. I dont know what kind they are. I took the stocks off at a shop. went back two days later to put them on caue the car was too loud but they had thrown them away so I got some they had there. Dont know if they were better than stock or not.
 
Could you somehow get a clip of what your car sounds like Alax? Id really like to hear some more glasspacks on an LS before I jump in on it
 
Thats about the only glasspacks reference there is :( Did you just replace mufflers? or did you do bigger pipes too?
 
glass packs = garbage !!! magnapacks by magnflow u can buy just the muffs and not the whole catback. ill have to find the site think i paid $41 each for the non stainless steel ones stainless is like $80.00 had them on the mustang gt i loved them very loud but had great deep sound matched with a o/r h pipe.
 
yeah glass packs are nice for a while until you blow all the :q:q:q:q out then they sound really bad. i would save up and get larger pipes and a nice muffler like flowmaster 40 series
 
I just dont understand to this day why people would want to put a glass pack on a car like a LS with its compression ratio and automatic trans. And yet when they do they still stick to words and claim it sounds good.

Those things are so 70's. You have way classier options these days. Dont be enticed just cause of the low cost.

did he ask your opinion on cost v.s compression ratio's? some thing will never change with you will they....same old song and dance...if jwerner doesn't think its cool then too bad...give it a break dude....not everybody likes silver cars and adr wheels...remeber?

BTW your skull in the windshield is "so 70's"

Back on topic...I honestly don't think the different sizes will sound much different, but if your gonna run no mufflers.....it will be LOUD!

On a side note, I really just feel if you wanna compliment the Flowmasters you should do something that is more quite as far as resonators go. Then you will get a true sound out of the Flowmasters with no other distortions. That in my eyes is a way of truly complimenting them.
