There is nothing that spins me up much more than sitting at a traffic light with a vehicle that is going
BOOM-BOOM-BOOM!

The harmonics go right thru my body and the decklid on the thing is rattling to beat the band.

So now when one is beside me I'm going to give him something to listen to. [:D][}:)]

The 3rd Cat was removed from my Lincoln. A stainless X-pipe was installed. Then the pipes were modified to install electric cutouts. The OPEN /CLOSE in 2 1/2sec.

Before.

Now only if this was a turbo car ;)

Great setup. Did the x-pipe change the sound of the stock LSC exhaust at all (cutouts closed of course) ?

How much on the labor besides the cutouts? I've called exhaust shops and no1s got a straight answer. I picked up the same pipe as you and some 4" slash cut tips and want to cut out the 3rd cat/resonator and pipe it to the tips.

Your set up is very clean. it looks good! Are you going to post any videos so we can hear it?

X-Pipe = $60
Cutout's = $320
Labor w/ flanges,gaskets, pipe,bolts = $200

It should have been more on that. It was on the rack for 4 1/2hrs and I was right there working with him.

His flat rate is $50hr.

I used these cutouts.

They are a very nice piece. Machining is outstanding.

I'll see what I can do next week.

and some 4" slash cut tips

As in 4in long or diameter? The exhaust shop can build them better.

Mine have offset's to keep everything up high.

The is nothing hanging lower than the stock system, except the bottom of the tri flange at the bottom bolt.

I used Drillers pix to show what I had in mind.

J used the same cutouts that I bought. Driller used a different brand and had told me he has replaced them with another brand than J or I used.

But both of those guys are Great and helped me with some thoughts. Thank's Guys. :)

2.5" inlet 18" long 4" wide. Maybe too big, I'm waiting for a photoshop. 02lse96lscyaddayadda had some 4" tips that looked mean though, I'm going for that

Was that stainless piping?!?

What about the mufflers and tips?

The X-pipe is stainless. The other pipe is 16ga aluminized steel.

Stock mufflers and tips.

I'm keeping it stealthy. :D

I'd like to hear the difference between the cut-outs with cats and the cutouts with Kooks headers and no cats.

I'm pretty sure I'll be doing almost the exact same setup to my car, and it is pretty clean and not too hard to do. I'm really interested in seeing how my car sounds with the third cat deleted and an x-pipe added and the stock mufflers otherwise.
