While this sounds silly, I'm getting the dreaded E every time during a cold start on a rainy/damp warm day. After the car warms up to its normal temperature, i can restart the car without any issues. Any ideas? For some reason, every time I take it to the shop, the error is gone and the car drives fine.

corroded connector?

Maybe. I have to leave the car by the shop due a harsh shift into second gear. Here's a pic for the record.
