I was at the car show awhile back in the Mark8 old man leadsled, listening to some Led Zepplin when one of my friends lead me to believe that my car was pokie. I was shocked to say the least that someone would talk about my girl like that!:p Time to go on a diet, babe. Just kiddin, doing this so I can carry the full NOS bottle for "FREE".

Ok I'm going to have to make a disclaimer here because this is my car and I work on it how I please. This write up does not imply that this is the only way to do this or the best way.Just way I did it. That said,on we go.

I had this 20lbish 800CCA racing battery sitting on shelf after pulling from green stang. Here you can see the tapered alum battery post made and the huge size differance.Duralast 40ish? I will have real weights soon.

I test fitted and started the car to check battery cuz that sucker is old school. Pay no attention to the broken Neg battery term that will be replaced. ;)

Here are the hold down parts. Directional limiting top strap both 3/8 studs and bottom nut plate. All parts mocked with the front to back limit stud mounted.

nice battery hold down you made there, but paint???? i think i looked damn good raw, did you paint for corrosion reasons?

Thanks . Only reason to black out,was just to blend in. I was even thinking of blacking out the sweet looking Kirban AFPR. LOL

Taking 40lbs off the front of the car is huge. All the little things you do add up. When you going back to the track?
