That's too bad, I'm pretty sure all the 2000 models have the redesigned engine regardless of when it was built. Don't feel too bad, you'd rather be safe than sorry. It's unfortunate that you don't live in the USA and I can't just recommend cars because they won't be so easy to find, anyway the 1997-2005 Buick Park Avenues are amazing cars. They got the 3.8L 3800 series V6 both regular and Supercharged one of the greatest modern engines ever made.
 
Ha, ha! Yes, exactly!

I was hunting Buick Park Avenue since some time now, but great shiny piece of 1999 has been sold, somebody was quicker than me. I know the guy, I offered him a higher price he had payed, but he refused:(

But I will be equally happy with second LC 2001, or even more, I love LC ;)
