I'm thinking of swapping my doors for some Gen2, mainly just for the inner handles, I already have a Gen2 passenger door without the inner panel

The passenger door on my car is riddled with little dents and scratches, it would be cheaper to have a good door repainted instead of my original door repaired then repainted

I need a Gen2 chrome inner driver door handle, and both Gen2 inner door panels (I don't care what color as I'll be painting them aquamarine)

I'm wanting to get this done in the next 1 month time frame

I'll be using the Gen1 style side mirrors
if anyone has other suggestions or comments ...or mainly PARTS, please let me know...
I only want panels that are perfect or near perfect condition

If it works do the other side so you can use the door panels from the 98-97. Will those doors work. I thought the 97 -98 had more curve since they have to mate with the fenders.

2nd gen doors are exactly the same as 1st gen. the fenders have the same exact curve where they meet the door too, there is absolutely no difference in the actual door shells 1st or 2nd gen.

If all you want are the chrome door handles, Just drill out the ribets and screw them into the Gen 1. I did that in my first Gen 1.

Well I'm wanting Gen2 inner panels with chrome handles, I'm wanting to use Lasers right side door that I pulled from his old crashed 97 since my door has been slammed by another door (thanks mom) and several shopping carts, and the top of mine has bends where some punk stuffed screw drivers in the seam trying to break into it

basically my parts needs are...
Driver and Passenger door panels from any Gen2 any color (no wood grain) as they will be air brushed in my Auqamarine color
I just need them to be in good condition

perfect condition Driver door interior handle in chrome
(because Laser and I tried drilling the rivets out of his, and it got gouged on accident by the drill bit)
I would also like the little lights to work on the handle, but Im pretty sure I can do that

Jamie I don't guess prices bro...tell me what you'd take for them

as for right now this project is on hold ;-( both my front cornering lights fell off and are now destroyed and must be replaced, not just for safety measures as they aren't legally required, but cops around here will pull you over for anything

so if you have any of those Jamie, I can get them for about $60 for a pair of not so perfect ones...if you can match that with included shipping I'll take em

Speaking of the front turn lights, why are they so expensive?! I found the drivers side on ebay for $119, are they crazy!? That's just one, I'll drive around without them.

i wouldnt paint a gen 2 panel as there is no way a paint would stick to the part just over the armrest seems way too flexible

its either paint, or $300 per door to have it recovered in my color...ill opt for paint for now
