Will the seats from a Gen II fit and bolt up in a Gen I, do the seat tracks have the same bolt pattern?

Will the A/C control panel from a Gen II fit in a Gen I?

Would it be possible to wire the A/C control panel to make the seat cooling and heating feature with the new seats?

Its hot here in FL and I would love to have some cooling seats :)

Thanks

The seats will probably fit but the A/C control panel and the cooling will not work because of the different computer language between the two generation LS's.

Neither the cooling or heating will work with the stock pre 03 HVAC controls. However, you should be able to add auxilary controls which will control the seat peltier cooler directly. Just have to look at a wiring diagram to get some clues on how the system works. Remember both heating and cooling is performed by one peltier cooler. They don't use a resistive heating element like the pre 03.

I want to do a similar mod on my Mark LT. I want seats out of a navigator or new F150 which has cooling. But I'm definetly in no hurry.

The computer controls the climate control and uses different language on the 2 different generations.

The A/C seats don't have much to do with the Climate control. The control buttons are part of the Climate Control unit but that's about it. There is a setting on the 03+ that controls the cooling/heating of the seat relative to the temp setting. You would not have this.

My dad has an Aviator with the cooling/heating system. The controls are on the door. It consists of an on/off switch and a potentiameter control next to it with setting of 1-5. I believe the controls go to the seat directly and have nothing to do with the car's Climate Control system. The LS should be able to function in a simlar way. The cooling/heating systems are the same in both vehicles (peltier cooler/small fan/small filter for fan/tubing/perforated seat). You can probably even use the same controls from the Aviator. I'll try to find a picture.

Between the door lock button and the rear mirrors adjustment control.

Note: it's an ebay pic so it won't be working forever.

That's from an Aviator which uses the same heat/cool seat setup. See post abov pic post.

It has everything to do with the automatic climate control that regulates the heat/cooling of the seat and is part of climate control and does not function as you state on your dad's Aviator on a 2nd gen Lincoln LS. You might be able to hook it up to be either on or off and that would be about it.
