On the road....hotels mostly.
Did some research and have found that using S Type shocks on the LS is definitely a 'No Go". The rears might be made to work as the lengths are very close but the fronts have completely different lower mounts. No way to make them interchange.

That being said....my understanding is that for the Gen II they went to softer springs, stiffer sway bars and stiffer shock valving than the Gen I. This was done to keep the same handling levels but provide better ride quality. If this is true then running the Euro shocks (if I can find some) on the softer Gen II springs may be just the ticket to firm it up a bit more without lowering the car. I have read that the Euro's are very firm on a Gen I. Does anyone know how much of a difference (10-15%???) in spring rate there is between them? From everything I've seen there is no reason they wouldn't simply bolt on. All of the aftermarket shocks have the same part numbers for all years. Was also looking at the T-Bird shocks. Heavier car than the LS with different springs, but the shocks all carry the same part numbers as the LS.

Quick? Any info on the changes to the platform between Gen I and Gen II?
Thanks!
