gen 2 sunroof

Are Gen 1 and Gen 2 sunroofs assemblies interchangeable? I need a new complete assembly and wanted to know if I can use any year or am I stuck with only assemblies from 97/98's?

I dont think so. when i was looking for one for my gen 1 i was told it had to be from a gen one.
