I've refurbished gen 1 headlights, and I'm about to do a used set I got from a member. Lenses are good, but the housings are not. I dont want to cut them open and screw them up. I'd like any info about where to cut them so I can get on to this project. Any help would be great. Thanks a lot Boy I'm old. I'm trying to do a set of GEN 2 lights Gen 1's are easy.

dont cut anything. put the oven on low 150, mahe sure you take out all the wires and bulbs, put it in the center for 5 min, take it out and start prying from the big end with a flathead screwdriver, i actually used one of the really small ones that have the spinner on the end i forget what they're called to get in the channel as a wedge and use the regular flathead to pry GENTLY. the oven will loosen up the sealant you might need ten first just keep an eye on it. ive done it like 5 times now where it takes me about 30 min to seperate the lens. work on it for a while put it back in the oven, just dont force anything.

oven

Thanks I have two stoves and a 4 burner gas grill and the light won't fit in any of them I need a pizza oven or I can do half at a time with the door open
