ok, well i have it in the armrest now. I love that its hidden but everytime i start the car up i have to open the armrest and turn it on..lazy maybe...more of a hassle..

Ive been trying to think of a place i can move it so i dont have to open the armrest all the time..I'm looking for a semi hidden area but at the same time convienent so i can turn it on w/o opening anything. I was thinking under the ignition on the knee panel. I could hide the wires through the open space around the bottom of the steering wheel. Only thing i would need to do is get a 3' 3.5mm extension for like $4 and run the wire (hidden) to where the existing mp3 player is..I'm getting a nice 3" touchscreen for xmas..But i will say the sandisk sansa is a very nice simple mp3 player.

NOT MY CAR

Hahahaha wtf is that. Lol. Is a gizmo that transmittes a fm signal to your car thru the certain fm radio stations to play music from any mp3 player/ cell phone. You connect the fm transmitter to your mp3 player or maybe your phone. Just connect to phone set fm trans to station preset and match that station on your radio. O and it plugs in your cig lighter plug.

I had a wireless fm transmitter no plugs

I was also thinking i could put it in the ashtray section. Though i'd have to take the ashtray out so it will fit. I do smoke.... But it could be hidden if i want to. So i could have it hidden or leave it open if i choose to...Cant do that with the armrest.

mines wireless to but i dont want to add batteries all the time.
mines hardwired cause i cant stand showing wires/cig plugs. Mine turns on and off with the car but i have to turn it on again to activate the fm tuner part of it.. if i just leave it after i turn the car on all it does is show the time and temp.

As i've said before, this cheap transmitter is f'n great..No static or anything. I think it has to do with a proper ground instead of the cig lighter one. When i used the cig lighter when i first bought it it did have some interference.

I have a inline FM modulator. They sell them for satellite radio. Goes between the antenna cable and the stereo, like adding an AUX port. Works alot better than wireless.

all i know is my hardwired one gives off 0 problems and is very clear. 10x better then other non harwired transmitters i tested.

if you don't ever have to adjust it or anything put it under your center console, pop out the plug toward the front of the storage part. run the wire through that, walah

its hardwired so it turns on and off automaticly but i have to press the on button again to activate the tuner. If i dont it just shows the time and temp. Sucks i know, i might get another for xmas that does everything automaticly.

I've been researching these more today and think i found one that i might try. To be honest i didnt know much about them. All i'll need is a rca to 3.5mm jack extension right? I guess on some of the modulators you have to buy a antenna adapter aswell..Is this true? Did you?

I'm just looking right now for something i can hook up to a 12v switched and not worry about it anymore . Almost All the tranmitters i've seen including mine you have to turn on even if hardwired.

this is the modulator, cheap but i want to test it out.

All together about a $20 bucks..

no, rockin the stock cd...I've had highend aftermarket decks and systems in my last 4 cars and in this one its staying simple.(also because it came stock w/ a stock cd,jbl,ect)..First car i've had a factory cd in.
And i dont like how a single din looks in a mark..Thats why i sold my pioneer 880prs and 860mp. Top notch units but imo look tacky in there.

I might get a double din touchscreen before summer....idk yet...Might be to inviting for thieves.
