I just picked up some Used HID headlights from a 96 lsc. Does anyone have a good set of conversion instructions? I looked on lincolnclub. org but the instructions have been pulled. I am a visual person so pictures make it easier for me.

I have a few questions.... as im considering doing this soon. Is it absolutely neccessary to modify the multifunction switch. Also, the headlight relays theyre talking about... are these externally wired? How much do the relays cost?

It's not 100% necessary; mole like recommended.

See this auction...

If you do not mod the switch you can shorten the life of the HIDs by doing what is called a "Hot Strike". That is re-lighting the HID before is cools, this dramatically reduces HID life. Like when you "flash" the high beams, the lows would shut off and hot strike back on. And of course just switching between them. Cool down time varies, but is generally about 5 minutes. Not to mention that even when off for a short while, like seconds, they take a little time to ignite and come to full brightness. SO if you flash your highs without the mod you would be temporarily blind.

I got some at Autozone when I put my HID's in

Can somebody please give me a more in depth explanation of the headlight relay wiring.... I dont understand... ive read the article quite a few times but I cant seem to get what it is theyre telling you to do.
