I was wondering what it meant when I turn the key to the "on" position and my rev and mph gauge max out.... (I have a bad battery, but doubt this has anything to do with it...?)

Actually it is the battery. Replace it and it should all go back to normal.

Yeah mine does the same when its really cold outside .. When its ok out, its normal, just when t hits the teens it does it.

Been dealing with this for over 3 months now. Eventually one day the car wouldn't start, luckily I threw in a quick charger. Hooked it up and the car fired right up. Since then the car is on the same battery, gauges max out randomly, not all the time.

I've heard that when you have the Euro tune for the 00-02 LS' (for the start in 1 in SST) that the gauges do that sweeping action...?
