I Got Into My Car This Morning To Go To Church. While Pressing The Gas Pedal I Notice That The Car Wasn't Going No More Than 5mph. So I Pressed Down A Little Harder And Still I Wasn't Going Any Faster. Got Back In The Yard Put The Car Into Park And Pressed The Pedal Down To The Floor , Still No Sound From The Motor Or Anything

I would take that as a sign from god that you did not need to go to church today.
Actually search the ls forums, someone else had a problem like that, I think it was 2 bad coil packs puts the car in a safe mode?

I don't know if it was safe mode tho, mine said something on the dash when it went into safe mode and I had coil failure 2 times but every body seams to have one or two symptoms that vary from others.
Where there any other symptoms? IE: sputtering and hesitation or miss-fire the day before, had the temp rose at all? If the car can still turn on and stuff I would check these things out. When my coolant tank cracked it went into safe mode but it went more than 5 mph.

The 00-02 have a mechanical pedal, so the wire that pulls might have come loose or so.
The 03-06 have an electronic drive by wire system which I have no idea.
