Fuel Pump Recommendations

My 2001 Lincoln LS V8 has 194,500 miles with the original fuel pump. No problems but I think I should replace it as a precaution. The Ford part is pretty pricey. Does anyone have experience with Walbro or Carter drop in replacements (no modifications)?
I've seen Airtex, but don't know anything about them.

Airtex is a common aftermarket manufacturer and seems to have decent stuff. I wouldn't have any qualms ordering from them or Spectre.
There's a thread on here about getting a Walbro into the stock bucket. It works but does require some basic mods.
