Ok trying to save my lincoln because I dont want to get rid of it. I love her too much ; (

After long drives 1+ hours I get to my destination and after I turn it off it wont start. Realized my fuel pump wasnt energizing. Wiggled the tube coming out of it and BAM!! Good to go. Just today I let it ideal wile I listen and feel the fuel pump just for and obvious fool play. Well I damn near got a 1st degree burn from the wire harness connected to the fuel pump. Is this normal? Could someone please try this on thier car. If its not then I need to get started cleaning the connector ir replacing it.

No, it's not normal.
I agree about replacing the connector, but you probably need to replace the fuel pump too. If the bearing in the motor are starting to fail, it will cause the motor to draw more current than normal.

How much should a fuel pump cost and where can I get one? Everywhere I look its like $600-$900!!
