Well I don't want to spend another $100 on a focus pump when I already have the walbro 255. The top piece is a tad too short so the pump output hits the plastics before it seats all the way.

not to throw everyone off topic.. but is the svt focus pump the same as a Ford GT (supercar) fuel pump? or is one better than the other? again sorry for whoring your thread my friend..

Did you read the tech post that I linked earlier in this thread, it talks about that very issue.

Thats the same link I posted originally. The only thing it mentions is grinding down the basket to make the pump fit (which I already have done). That is not the problem. I need the bigger top piece where the pump output is w/o buying a whole assembly.

Doesn't seem like it. It looks like it has a one-way check valve on it. If that check valve is useless then i could cut it.

I guess I'm putting the stock pump back in until I find the proper piece/assembly

I went with the BBK fuel pump. NO problems.
